Here’s what they did.
1. They started to collect data about each user:
+ Last 3 search terms that brought a visitor to their website.
+ Most visited type of sale for that visitor.
+ PPC keyword that acquired the visitor.
2. On top of the existing list of hand-picked vacation listings…
They added personalized listings based on the data above.
For example: those who arrived at the site from a PPC keyword of “New York” and “All Inclusive” saw relevant sales promoted to the top of the listings.
