Facebook‘s 1%-3% organic reach sucks. Investing in growing your fan-base is a waste of time and money.
I thought so until yesterday.
Yesterday I noticed that my posts reach 32% of my Facebook followers. What?! How?
On Facebook, I‘m followed by 766 people. I mean not my page, I mean my personal Facebook account as a human being.
For my new Russian-speaking email community devoted to happy marriage I started to post videos.
Facebook shows how many views each video gained.
My first video gained 256 views, my second one – 257.
I didn‘t pay attention to it until I divided this number by volume of my followers.
Holy %@##! That‘s 33% of my follower base!
I checked out my other friends‘ personal accounts.
Holy %@##! They see 30-50% reach on average too!
Oo.
Conclusions:
1. It still sucks to grow your Facebook page.
2. Looks like it makes so much sense to grow the follower base of your personal Facebook account!
