LiveChat is an online chat widget for websites to communicate with visitors.
At the bottom of each widget they have a “Powered by LiveChat” link.
This link is a main source of their traffic.
But only 0.6% of this traffic converted and signed up for a trial.
Here’s what they did to improve their conversion rate:
1. They used the URL of the redirecting website in the headline to add context.
For example: “Start using the same live chat as [domain you came from]”
2. Created a simple GIF showing how LiveChat looks and what it does.
3. Removed global navigation.
Result: conversions and signups for a trial increased by 2.14 times!
